Peter Souza IV, Software Engineer
Hello everyone!

I am a 31-year-old software engineer and homeowner living in Meridian, Idaho (United States). If you are looking for Pete Souza, the Chief Official White House Photographer appointed by President Obama, please click here for his website.

I'm typically involved in writing a random assortment of software (listed in a menu to your left), playing a variety of games, or watching movies and T.V. I seldom go out -- I just love my technologies too much. Often I can let an entire weekend go by without leaving my house because I have so much to do inside.

Since buying my house in August, 2009, I have taken an interest in several home improvement projects. In the first few months I completely wired the place for ethernet (with the help of a coworker). In early 2010, I built myself a new eight-foot computer desk using lumber and stain from Lowes and then sanded down the wall in my home theater room to paint my projection screen.

I'm a fan of most domesticated pets, including some exotic ones like reptiles. I adopted a 6-month old kitten from the Canyon County Animal Shelter that I named Pixel. He's very friendly and a great cuddler. Thinking about getting him some SoftPaws so he stops scratching up everything, though. In my life, I've owned dogs, cats, anoles, skinks, geckos, salamanders, frogs, gerbils, rats, parakeets, and many, many types of fish, but for now I'm keeping it sane with just the one cat.

More recently, I play a lot of Left 4 Dead 2 (and occasionally Borderlands) and enjoy working on Media Center Master. In the past and now recently again, I developed a custom game engine to run a pay-to-play text-based game (but also with options for free accounts). I formally ran Eaxia Online from 2001 to 2007, when I turned it over to an associate (Adam) who then disappeared. I recently came back into the scene to resume development and provide support. If you know someone who's interested in helping and technically proficient, drop me a line at the Eaxia Online contact form!

Feel free to send me a message at Facebook or follow me on Twitter (I don't tweet much from my personal account though) if you want to connect up with me. If I don't know who you are, I will probably ignore friendship requests though. I'm also leaving my e-mail address below in flash format so you can send me a message if need be.

That's all for now... bye!
